While the OPI MariahCarey Holiday collection has plenty of red this year and 6 liquid sands but that’s not all it has to offer. And Warm Me Up is, honestly, my favourite from the collection and the one I knew I had to have when I saw the collection.
This is a beautiful polish, to me at least. But everyone knows I have a weakness for brown polishes. This one is no exception to that particular rule, a dark rich spiced coffee grey-brown with a subtle, silvery shimmer. It’s one of those strange colours that’s a bit hard to define but I love it. I do have to question if it belongs in a holiday collection since it’s not exactly festive but it is very suited to fall and winter so I suppose it makes sense in that respect.
Application was a breeze with this one. A good formula with tons of pigment that ensure that it’s completely opaque in two coats, even if you prefer to do thinner coats. Dry time was pretty average and it has great lasting power as well. After four days I only had a bit tip wear, no chips. Definitely a polish I’ll be wearing this fall.
The accent finger is OPI’s DS Pewter. More of a texture polish than I prefer but not a liquid sand kind of a texture. The dry time was fantastic with great coverage and the glitter had a nice even payload over thenail. And it is beautiful with a top coat. Another keeper that I’ll be wearing again!
