I’ve been going through my collection, picking out some polishes I haven’t worn to start working my way through the list. But instead of using one of those, I broke out a new one that arrived in the mail from Nail Polish Canada just yesterday. piCture pOlish’s Cosmos, another one of their collaboration polishes, this time with the Pshiiit Boutique. And I’m so glad I did. This is a polish with some serious wow factor.
A deep, pigmented blue jelly with irregularly shaped holographic glitters. Love it! I know that Essie’s Starry Starry Night is a lemming for a lot of people, as it was for me but this polish has solved my lemming issue. I just love it. It’s like starry skies on your fingertips. And the fact that the glitter in it is holographic means that you regularly get little flashes of colour, not just sparkly silver.
Application was good with this polish, though you want to let it have a bit more time to dry between coats. I had a bit of trouble with dragging and creating bald spots. Easily fixed though. Other than that, it was great. Two coats had full opacity.
I paired Cosmos with China Glaze’s Lorelei’s Tiara. I actually had the Sally Hansen Gem Crush dupe of LT but found this bottle in a salon and had to buy it because of the name. It’s a lovely little polish, silver glitter mixed with larger blue glitter hexes. Easy application and again two coats for full opacity. The only downside is the one so many glitters have… it loves to drink up the top coat!
