I may have squeed a little when I saw the cute bottles of Marc Jacobs’ nailpolish at Sephora. I was with a fellow Lacquer Cabinet contributer and she easily talked me into getting at least one bottle. It was hard to choose but I settled on Petra – this polish was a splurge at $22.00 a bottle, but I was not disappointed!
Petra is a glittery, bronze colour that goes on opaque in one coat. I liked that this complimented my skin tone and the glitter and shine were amazing. It was difficult to capture in photographs. I compared this polish to OPI’s The World is Not Enough and they look similar in the bottle, but the OPI polish goes on more like a top coat with glitter for one coat. Petra had a great formula with really smooth application. Even though it didn’t need it, I did two coats and the polish lasted 4 days before I decided I needed a change. There were no visable chips or wear.
I’m very intrigued by this polish brand and am excited to try out more colours from the Marc Jacobs collection. Plus – look at that adorable bottle!
