This year I was introduced to Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat. And it really does dry fast! You can sometimes luck out and find Seche Vite at Winners. I bought mine on Nail Polish Canada. It’s definitely a VERY fast dry top coat. We’re talking minutes. No more annoying nicks and chips or bed linen marks from slow drying nail polish. However about half way through the bottle the Seche Vite gets a bit thick and difficult to work with, hard to apply and goes on a bit gloopy and thick. Another draw back of Seche Vite is that sometimes it would cause shrinkage so you’d lose a bit of coverage at the tip of the nail once it was dry.

Recently Cult Nails Wicked Fast Top Coat was recommended to me as an alternative to Seche Vite. I also got this puppy on (I’m an addict, what can I say!) I think this top coat has converted me. It goes on super smooth and dries, as promised, wicked fast. At $12.50 a bottle it’s a bit of a splurge, but let’s all admit that the time it takes for nails to dry a fast dry top coat that actually works is worth it! No shrinkage on the Cult Nails polish, either. I think between Seche Vite and Cult Nails the clear winner is Cult Nails. Try it out!

I used it over OPI’s Tickle My France-y. One of my favourite neutral shades.
